Welsh Bingo Halls Try a Trial Run with Smoking Ban

A pair of bingo establishments located in Wales have taken a surprising move of prohibiting smoking in their bingo clubs for one night.

The two clubs in question are the Top Ten owned bingo clubs situated in Milford Haven and Pembroke Dock, Pembrokeshire. Tomorrow Night, they plan not to allow people playing bingo to smoke at the same time in the facility.

The bold move by Top Ten comes in the hope that such practice, even for just one night only, will help bingo players in the area to get used to the idea of not smoking in the bingo halls as the total smoking ban which will be enforce mid next year will drastically affect the bingo industry permanently.

Pembrokeshire's Principal Public Health Officer, Ian Scale said that they should start addressing the problem now, so that it will not have a drastic effect when the smoking ban is implemented next year.

There are grave concerns over the effect of the total smoking ban on the gaming industry and by taking the initiative to implement a one-night smoking ban on their clubs, Top Ten is clearly showing that it is better to act now than regret it later.
